Great bagels, good coffee, but the worst music ever is playing. I'm getting my morning coffee not tripping at a rave.

I came here hoping I could take advantage of how empty this place is on a Saturday. My ideal visit would have involved working on my laptop while sipping a nice chilled ice coffee. Unfortunately, that fantasy proved unattainable thanks to the establishments single-minded focus on bagels and breakfast food. It is immediately apparent that this isn't a coffee shop despite the fact that it wouldn't take too much added effort to cater to that audience. First of all, most of the seating options are geared towards groups of four or more. It doesn't feel welcoming as a place to study or read. Even tables for two around the walls don't seem to offer outlets for patrons to charge electronics which is probably one of my top criteria for choosing a favorite weekend morning hangout. They have the WiFi worked out, but its much less useful when I have to limit my stay to the length of my laptop battery. The iced coffee I also got was disappointing. It was self-served from a brew that had clearly been made at the beggining of the day. By the time I got to it, it was barely chilled let alone iced. There was also no ice left in the soda fountain dispenser leading me to conclude that the Einstein Bagel God's had forseen my two-star review of this place and decided to punish me. I will not be silenced!

They were out of bagel dogs so my husband chose a tuna sandwich instead. Out if the asiago bread for that too... My bagel with lox was pretty good but cream cheese only spread in middle. After sitting at one of the dirty tables (none were wiped down) and waiting 15 minutes while 5 employees stood around, my husband went to find out where his order was. Oops... They forgot it... Lazy staff, terrible service! Ladies bathroom disgusting - one stall "out of service"- dirty, looked like it hadn't been cleaned on weeks!

I usually do not write reviews and I hate the idea of having to write such a bad one. Let me start with a gentleman had to take over for a young girl not sure of the reason mid order. The gentleman couldn't get the order right. We had to repeat it 4 times. I asked for a bagel sandwich with NO spread or mayo. My sandwich had a boat load of mayo on it so I asked if I could get a new sandwich without it. I got it back with the same lettuce and tomato that was used on the first, swimming in mayo. The young girl rolled her eyes and seemed quiet annoyed! My sandwich was then tossed onto the table with no apologies, and a whole lot of mumbling behind the counter. ( We all heard you). All this was while my mother in law was waiting for her sandwich as well. 10 minutes is a long wait when there were 4 other people in the store. The store was not clean and I'm sure it wasn't because the employees were too busy taking orders. I felt like these young adults did not enjoy their jobs and desperately wanted to be anywhere but there helping customers. I'm a pretty easy going person and don't let a lot bother me but the food toss and disrespectful grumbles kind of ruined my appetite. Directions need to be followed and mistakes corrected with an apology and a smile and then maybe a tip would have been left. Just an idea.

Terrible am service no one to make sandwiches and long line of people waiting - unhelpful staff

Frozen lox on a nice fresh bagel, toppings piled in the center with a broad ring of plain bagel. These factors dramatically diminished my enjoyment of a late lunch.

I went there for breakfast and I got a egg and cheese, its close to $5 but what you get is close to McDonald's. The egg is pre made and microwaved and the bagel was more like mini bagel, I wouldn't spend $5 on such a breakfast again.

The worker here with all disrespect start cleaning the carpet and setting the chairs 25 minutes in advance of closing time while we were studying. That was so annoying and inconsiderate.

"Hello, Sir, what shade of whipped petroleum-esque cheese spread would you like on your puffy bread-like substance? Actually, dear patron, ignore that question, as I will invariably give you something other than what you order." Einstein Bagels is to bagels what Sconecutter is to scones.

My favorite bagel vendor in Salt Lake City, the bagels are always delicious and fresh. The staff are generally friendly though I have had some negative service experiences during busy peak times on the weekends. This location offers both a large, clean interior and a sidewalk patio and as it's located on a busier stretch of 1300 E alongside a variety of other businesses it's a good spot for people watching and socialising with locals.

I actually really enjoy Einsteins Bagels (Noah's bagels, for the west coast), but this particular store could get their act together a bit more. As Einsteins is already a bit expensive for a college grub budget, especially when placed next to B&D's burgers, the 7-11, and Subway, I'm only going to go there if the food/service is worth it - which in this particular case, I have determined it is not, after a few visits. I've had a couple orders gone wrong (wrong order period, not having the right/advertised ingredients on a particular sandwich), and the staff seems like they are underpaid, bored, tired, or don't really care (maybe a combo?). If you've never been to Einsteins, don't give up here - go somewhere else, because it really is a good chain. But until this store gets a little better management, I'd suggest avoiding it.

I am trying to steer clear of chains and franchises and am getting heavily involved with the whole "Buy Local First" movement, but Einstein Bros every now and then is something I haven't been able to shake. I am a sucker for their Everything bagel. Coarse sea salt, yummmm!!! I am open for suggestions for a bagel alternative but for now Einstein is the closest and easiest place to get my fix.

Don't go in the afternoon. They run out of food, and their service is lazy. I went at 5:00 pm, and they ran out of everything.

Poor, unenthusiastic service. Food seemed like it came out of a microwave . First and last time here

The bagels are great, as to be expected. Never the less, even good things can be completely spoiled if you have to wait 20 minutes for a grumpy server to finally toast just one for you. Every time I've been in, this location has been understaffed and the wait is just ridiculous. It's likely I won't ever return.

tasty twisted bagels w/shmear.. i like the strawberry, chocolate w/chocolate chip twisted bagel with strawberry shmear & the asiago cheese bagel w/garden veggie shmear. they have variety of breakfast & lunch bagel sandwiches, melts & wraps, soups/salads, fresh fruit cups, fruit/yogurt parfaits along with other prepped lunch items to-go, fresh squeezed OJ, and coffee, and if you're indulging they have blended coffee drinks. they serve breakfast all day and offer catering
